Mellemrum is a choreographic journey that takes place along the banks of the St. Francis river on an old meeting ground for the Abenaki nation. Grouping together artists of diverse origins and inspired by the area’s history and topography, this in situ performance aims to unite humans of all cultures and backgrounds, using dance as a starting point, a universal language that all people hold in common.
Mellemrum is an artistic concept initiated by Danish choreographer Kitt Johnson. Through collaborations with local choreographers in different cities throughout the world, she creates an outdoor production that is firmly rooted in the public sphere.
